Vicente Williams got his start editing home movies on his family’s VHS camera and turned that love into a production company at the age of 16. At 17 he was interning at the local ABC affiliate, reporting on-camera for the San Antonio Spurs and working his way through more weddings than he’d like to admit. At 19 he was editing TV News full-time and enjoying every second of it. After a three year stint living and working in Dublin, Ireland, he finally made his way to Los Angeles.
His accomplishments include work on DVD titles from Universal, MGM, Warner Bros. and four years producing digital content at MTV.
He has worked on projects for FOX, The RAND Corporation, The Learning Company and many more. Vicente is a proud member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Interactive Media Peer Group and the Producers Guild of America New Media Council. He served on the steering committee for the PGA’s Diversity Committee and created PGAdiversity.org, a site dedicated to promoting diversity in all aspects of the entertainment business. In 2010 he worked closely with fellow committee members on the PGA’s annual Diversity Workshop which guides diverse projects and content creators to the next level. Vicente is also responsible for re-booting the PGA’s Green initiative website, PGAgreen.org, and serves as the Chair of the PGA’s Events Committee and Co-Chair of the PGA’s Broadband Committee. He has guest lectured at UCLA Extension, served on Social Media Week’s Clean Tech L.A. Panel and is actively engaged in managing several social media presences.
In 2012 he coordinated with North East School of the Arts and arranged an amazing week for twenty high school students from San Antonio, Texas. The students got a tour of Warner Bros. Studios, attended a panel setup just for them at the Producers Guild of America, and shot two short films on a 20,000 sq foot stage while being mentored by Hollywood professionals.
In 2015 Vicente was awarded the Producers Guild of America New Media Council Marc A. Levey Distinguished Service Award for his contribution to the PGA.
In 2018 he completed a three-year term on the board of the Producers Guild of America’s New Media Council.
